The band?

Well, The Eisenhowers is not so much a band, more a loose collection of people who sometimes make a noise with musical instruments.

The music?

It's an eclectic and adult-oriented mix, inspired by the likes of Aimee Mann, The Beach Boys, Crowded House, Steely Dan, Elvis Costello, XTC, Jimmy Webb and REM.

The songs?

They all come from the pen of Raymond Weir, who is also a member of the slinky atmospheric beat combo, Gum. Raymond has built up a huge backlog of material and Almost half-undressed is, in effect, a compilation drawn from several abandoned album projects. It features 12 literate, punchy and thoughtful songs about sex, celebrity, love, money, parenthood and serial killers.

How can you buy it?

You can buy the album from here and, because we are deeply generous people, you can also get some stuff for free. Just click on Music over there on the left.

What is it all about?

The universe is expanding. Or maybe it's contracting ... or something. Either way, it doesn't look that good in the long term. But hey, what can you do? If the music of The Eisenhowers can make a little difference to just one person out there ... well, that would be a surprise.
